Student Ministries at Community
The task of building up students to be disciples and lovers of Jesus is crucial to the mission of the Gospel. At Community, our desire is to engage young men and women with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through authentic, loving, committed, and self-sacrificial relationships in order that they may be mature followers of Jesus Christ who are sent out to fulfill His mission and equipped to defend their faith.
The students will be given the opportunity to grow in their love for God through the teaching of His word, to serve both inside and outside of the church, and to develop loving relationships with one another and the adult leaders. Our ultimate hope is that these students would go out into the world with the solid foundation of the truth of the Gospel established and ever-growing in their hearts and minds.
Youth Ministry
Youth Group
During the school year, we meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30–8 pm at the church building. Each week, we typically have a time of games, worship, Bible teaching, small group discussion, and prayer. Middle School (6th-8th grades) and High School (9th-12th grades) students are welcome.
Sunday School
We meet on Sunday mornings throughout the school year during second service at the church for a time of Bible study. Middle School and High School students are welcome.
College-Age Ministry
As the College-Age ministry at Community, we aim to connect college-age students in relationship to one another in the context of the local church.
We have found that when students leave high school, or go to college away from home, it can often be extremely difficult to find a Christian community to truly belong to. This is a problem that we would love to help fix. Forge, the college-age ministry at Community, meets regularly throughout the year to fellowship with one another and to talk through some of the hardest questions about faith and life in light of the Scriptures.
Forge meets around the dinner table every Tuesday night throughout the summer. Email Noah Gwinn for the time and location.
If you have any questions or would like to get involved, feel free to contact Noah Gwinn, Director of Student Ministries and Communications.
